Alma Jewel Kelly Honeycutt, age 72, of Biscoe died Saturday, December 9, 2017 at her home.
Mrs. Honeycutt was born April 12, 1945 in Lilesville, NC the daughter of the late Daniel (Doc) Edward and the late Fannie Bell (Williams) Kelly.
She was employed by Klaussner Furniture as an Expeditor for nearly 10 years.
Alma was a loving wife, mother and caretaker for many throughout her life. She enjoyed cooking and loved her church family.
She is survived by her husband: Gene Honeycutt; one daughter, Lynn Honeycutt, of Biscoe; one son, Gene Honeycutt, Jr. and wife Sharon, of Asheboro; one grandson, Nicholas Honeycutt of Asheboro; 4 brothers, Sim Kelly of Lilesville, NC, Warren Kelly and wife Terri of Kannapolis, NC, John Kelly and wife Teah of Wadesboro, NC and Ed Kelly and William Lee of Columbia, SC; three sisters: Margaret Ponds and husband Stanley of Wadesboro, NC, Lou Simpson and husband Junior of Ansonville, NC and Denise Shepard and husband Steven of Biscoe, NC; nephews, James Lear and wife Lauren, and Dale Kelly and wife Kathy; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Judy Hildreth and husband Edward and brother, Leake Kelly.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 from 12:30-1:45 PM at Long Hill Baptist Church, Capelsie Road, Candor, NC. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM with Rev. Mark Forrest and Dr. Bruce Dickerson officiating. Burial will be in Biscoe Cemetery, Biscoe, NC.
