Thelma Gallimore Wallace Renigar, a long time resident of Asheboro, NC, died peacefully at High Point Hospice of the Piedmont on Saturday, May 13, 2017.
Thelma loved her family, friends, and church family of Central United Methodist Church. She was a beautiful woman, both inside and out treating everyone she met with gracious kindness and a beautiful smile.
She is preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers and 4 sisters, and Russell "Cotton" Wallace, former husband of 49 years.
She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Dick Renigar. Her two sons, Craig Russell Wallace and his wife Teresa, Kyles Yohn Wallace and his wife Janet, her granddaughter Gretchen Wallace Dawson and her husband Robert Dawson. Thelma is also survived by her step-son John Renigar and his wife Holly and step-granddaughter Hazel, step-daughter Jill Renigar and step-granddaughter Michaela Boone, her sister, Zeola Trotter, as well as, many nieces and nephews.
Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro has been entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive friends at Pugh Funeral Home Tuesday, May 16, 2017 from 6 to 8 pm. A Service of Celebration of Life will be held at Central United Methodist Church, 300 S. Main Street, Asheboro, NC on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at 2 pm.
